Load-bearing walls

The wall is the main load-bearing wall of a building constituting a vertical plane that restricts or przedzielającą interior of the building. It can be made of brick, concrete, wood. It carries the burden of building elements such as roof, floors and balconies on the foundation and other elements of the building. Masonry walls are the most important building. It rises from materials such as bricks, concrete blocks of cellular concrete, ceramic or ordinary polaryzowanej, keramzytobetonu or silicates. Wood bearing walls are usually insulated with mineral wool thermal, and wall-layer and three layer laminated to polystyrene. Load-bearing walls are associated with other walls in the corners and at intersections by dressing masonry. Partition walls are combined with walls of contact construction that is tied with the special metal connectors. Exterior masonry bearing walls are often finished with plaster, which is then painted facade paint. It can also be finished with stone wall cladding or wood coverings. For the construction of load-bearing walls are used different materials and different technologies. The oldest materials include ceramic materials, ie bricks. We have several types of bricks, namely a complete, hollow, clinker. If the clay during its formation adds a wood flour or sawdust created the material from which rise poryzowana ceramics. This is a very warm and ceramics is ideal for thermal insulation of the building.

For the construction of load-bearing walls are also used expanded clay, which is a very lightweight construction aggregate. Expanded clay is subjected to firing and produced material with very high insulation, resistant to temperature fluctuations, insensitive to biological corrosion, very resistant to mechanical damage. It can be used as aggregate for concrete production. Another material for load-bearing walls are concrete, whose main ingredients are sand, cement, lime and water.
